How to Master Drive Mad Controls
Simple inputs become powerful when every press has a clear purpose.
Understand the Four Arrow Keys
Right moves the car forward, left slows or reverses it, up creates a jump, and down helps bring the car nose toward the ground while airborne. Avoid pressing several keys without a plan.
Use Short Forward Bursts
On flat ground, hold right long enough to build useful momentum. On steep or narrow terrain, use shorter taps so the car stays balanced.
Jump Only with a Landing Plan
Press up near the edge of a ramp, not too early. Look at the height of the landing platform and release unnecessary inputs once the car is in the air.
Restart Quickly and Learn
Use R whenever a run is clearly lost. Fast restarts make practice efficient and help you learn each obstacle.
Quick tip: Consistent, controlled inputs beat random speed on difficult tracks.
